Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website and coaching services offered by Joyfully Present Life Coaching LLC ("we," "us," "our"), located at 440 N Barranca Ave #9885, Covina, CA 91723. By booking a session, purchasing a coaching package, creating an account, or otherwise using our website or services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Our Services
Joyfully Present Life Coaching LLC offers one-on-one and group life coaching sessions, held primarily online, focused on helping clients manage stress and anxiety, develop mindfulness and meditation practices, build a positive mindset, and find greater calm and presence in daily life.
Coaching may include mindfulness practices, meditation, breathing exercises, tapping, relaxation techniques, mindset practices, and other educational mind-body practices.
2. Coaching Is Not Therapy or Medical Care
Life coaching is not psychotherapy, counseling, medical treatment, or a substitute for professional mental health care. We do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any mental health or medical condition, and nothing said during a coaching session should be treated as medical, psychological, psychiatric, or other professional advice.
Joyfully Present Life Coaching LLC and its coaches are not acting as physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, counselors, social workers, or other licensed healthcare providers through the provision of coaching services.
You should consult an appropriately licensed healthcare professional regarding medical or mental health concerns. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or considering harming yourself or someone else, please contact emergency services, call or text 988 in the U.S. for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or call 911, rather than waiting for a coaching session.
3. Eligibility
Our services are intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must book and consent on your behalf.
4. Booking & Online Sessions
Sessions are generally held online via video call, currently using Zoom. You are responsible for having a working internet connection, a private space, and any necessary equipment. A link to join your session will be provided after booking, either as a fixed meeting link or one generated for your appointment.
We may also offer group classes, workshops, or occasional in-person presentations. Additional instructions or terms may apply to those services.
5. Coaching Packages & Session Expiration
We may offer session packages, including four-session and twelve-session packages, at a discounted rate.
Unless otherwise stated in writing at the time of purchase:
- Package sessions are intended for the individual who purchased the package and are not transferable.
- Purchased sessions must be scheduled and used within twelve (12) months from the date of purchase.
- Unused sessions expire after the applicable expiration period and are not automatically extended.
Any package-specific terms communicated in writing at the time of purchase will apply to that particular package.
6. Payment & Invoicing
All payments for coaching sessions and packages are processed through Stripe, our third-party payment processing provider. Fees for services are due as described at booking or on your invoice.
By making a payment, you acknowledge that your payment transaction is processed through Stripe and is subject to Stripe's applicable terms, conditions, policies, and payment processing requirements.
We do not directly store your full payment card details. Payment information is handled by Stripe in accordance with its applicable security and privacy practices.
7. Cancellations & Rescheduling
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed entirely (no-shows), may be treated as completed sessions or forfeited from a prepaid package.
If we need to cancel or reschedule a session, we will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative appointment at no additional charge.
Technical problems outside our reasonable control, including internet, power, equipment, or video-conferencing platform issues, may require a session to be rescheduled.
8. Refunds
Individual coaching sessions are eligible for a full refund only when cancelled at least 24 hours before the scheduled session. This policy applies whether the individual session was purchased separately or booked using a prepaid package credit.
Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice or missed entirely (no-shows) are not eligible for a refund.
Entire coaching packages, including four-session and twelve-session packages, are eligible for a full refund only if the package is completely unused and the refund is requested within 180 days (six months) from the original purchase date. A package is considered unused only if none of its sessions or credits have been used.
Partial refunds for partially used packages are not offered.
All approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase through Stripe. Refunds are subject to Stripe's applicable terms, conditions, policies, and payment processing requirements. The time it takes for a refund to appear in your account may vary depending on Stripe, your payment method, or your financial institution.
Nothing in this section is intended to limit any refund or cancellation rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
9. Client Responsibility
Coaching is a collaborative process that requires your active participation. You are responsible for your own decisions, actions, and results.
You are responsible for determining whether a particular exercise, practice, or activity is appropriate for you and for seeking professional medical or mental health advice when appropriate.
10. No Guarantee of Outcomes
Coaching outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including your own effort, participation, decisions, and circumstances. We do not guarantee any specific result, improvement, or outcome from our sessions.
11. Confidentiality
We will make reasonable efforts to respect the privacy and confidentiality of information shared during individual coaching sessions, subject to applicable law and any applicable privacy policy or coaching agreement.
Because group sessions and workshops involve other participants, we cannot guarantee that information shared in a group setting will remain confidential. Participants are expected to respect the privacy of others and not share another participant's personal information outside the group.
12. Recording & Coaching Materials
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, coaching sessions may not be audio recorded, video recorded, photographed, screen-recorded, or otherwise captured by the client.
Coaching materials may include worksheets, exercises, slides, handouts, guides, templates, written resources, emails, text messages, shared documents, and other educational materials provided by Joyfully Present Life Coaching L.L.C.
These materials are provided for your personal use only. They remain the intellectual property of Joyfully Present Life Coaching L.L.C. unless otherwise stated and may not be copied, reproduced, republished, distributed, sold, or commercially used without written permission.
13. Accounts
You may create an account using Google Sign-In or our email/password system. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
14. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, design, graphics, logos, branding, and materials shared during coaching — belongs to Joyfully Present Life Coaching L.L.C. unless otherwise noted, and may not be reproduced, distributed, or commercially used without permission.
15. Third-Party Services
Our website and services may rely on third-party platforms and services, including payment processors, scheduling systems, video-conferencing platforms, authentication providers, email services, and other technology providers.
We are not responsible for interruptions, errors, outages, or failures caused by third-party services that are outside our reasonable control. Your use of third-party services may also be subject to those providers' separate terms and privacy policies.
16. Website & Technology Availability
We strive to keep our website and services available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee that the website, booking system, payment system, or online services will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
We may temporarily suspend or modify portions of the website or services for maintenance, updates, technical issues, or other operational reasons.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Joyfully Present Life Coaching L.L.C. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of our website or services.
Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the services giving rise to the claim during the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
18. Termination
We reserve the right to decline, suspend, or terminate services or cancel a booking at our discretion, including for abusive, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, disruptive, or unsafe behavior toward us or others.
If we terminate services for reasons unrelated to client misconduct, we will make reasonable efforts to address any unused prepaid services in an appropriate manner, subject to applicable law and these Terms.
19. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
20. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of our services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
21. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
22. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any applicable written coaching agreement, invoice, package terms, privacy policy, or other terms expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the agreement governing your use of the applicable services.
If there is a conflict between these Terms and a separately signed written coaching agreement, the signed written coaching agreement will control to the extent of the conflict.
